During the XVII Conference of the Lithuanian Sociological Association, organized by the Sociology Institute of the Lithuanian Centre for Social Sciences together with the Lithuanian Academy of Sciences on September 4–5, 2025, the annual awards were presented. The award for the best doctoral publication in the field of sociology in Lithuania, published in the previous year (2024), was granted to Morta Vidūnaitė, a doctoral student at the Department of Sociology at Vytautas Magnus University (VDU)!
The award was given for the article “Performing Female Identity in a Minority Religion: Female Agency and Leadership in the Lithuanian Evangelical Lutheran Church without Female Ordination,” published in the journal Religion and Society in Central and Eastern Europe, 2024, 17(1), 51–67.
